The Cat's Leap... E-mail

I was over a friend's house and we were playing cards in front of an old metal diagonal fireplace, the top of which had no ledge. The cat jumps up on the table and he starts eyeing the fireplace. We continued playing cards, but I thought to myself, "He wouldn't be that foolish." Sure enough, the cat jumps with all his might, goes to grab onto something of which there was nothing, slips right down the fireplace and onto the cards shooting them everywhere. I guess he was that foolish after all...
